Toyota Praised Again for Impact in Latino Community

Toyota has been praised for the fifth year in-a-row by LATINO Magazine as a continuing advocate of support for the Latino community. The award focused on philanthropy, diversity in the workforce, minority business growth and governance.

“We are honored to be recognized for our commitment to the Latino community, from efforts to empower team members to initiatives to help drive our communities forward,” said Adrienne Trimble, general manager of Diversity & Inclusion for Toyota. “Hispanic-owned enterprises are some of our key business partners. We’ve done more than $1 billion in business with Latino suppliers to date, and since 2000, we’ve tripled the number of our Hispanic-owned Toyota and Lexus dealerships.”

This year, the magazine praised Toyota’s Organization for Development of Latinos (TODOS). The employee resource group includes 600 team members across North America and helps nurture its team members' talent and energy to make a positive impression on its members, the company, and places where Toyota conducts business.

Nominations to the LATINO 100 consisted of submissions from non-profits and community organizations, LATINO readers, partners and stakeholders in the Hispanic market.
