Style & Design

The vehicle's futuristic appeal isn't limited to its novel powertrain, though. While reminiscent of the traditional Prius thanks to the now-familiar wedge silhouette, the new Prius Prime bears a face that's all its own. LED multi-lens headlights look sleek next to the grille, while LED taillights wrap around the hatch to offer trailing vehicles an alluring, modern view.

The cabin's seating is surprisingly spacious, with spots for four people inside. The driver's seat sits lower than usually found in a hybrid vehicle, so the new Prius Prime has a sport-car-like feel when you're in command. Heated front seats are a welcome standard touch, especially on a chilly winter morning.

Comfort & Technology

The Entune™ infotainment system uses a touchscreen to command navigation, satellite radio, HD Radio, Bluetooth® streaming, and a six-speaker sound system, so you can stay connected and entertained as you travel I-77.

The new Prius Prime comes equipped with the advanced Toyota Safety Sense™ P suite of driver-assist systems that includes pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. With these supporting you on your daily drive, you'll find an increased sense of confidence.

The magic of the new Prius Prime doesn't come from its total output, but how the system works. There's a traditional 1.8-liter four-cylinder gas engine that pairs with two electric motors to provide the hybrid technology you expect from a Prius. However, the new Prius Prime adds an 8.8 kWh battery pack that delivers all-electric driving range of up to 25 miles. Once that battery is depleted, the gas engine takes charge to keep you rolling down the road. The EPA estimates that the new Prius Prime delivers a combined fuel efficiency of 54 mpg, tops in class.
