What Is the Toyota Tundra i-FORCE MAX?

Toyota's largest truck now comes with a hybrid powertrain. Explore the Carolinas with efficiency and go farther between jobs with the Toyota Tundra Hybrid. Your Charlotte Toyota dealer is the only place to find this new Toyota Hybrid truck in the Queen City.

Performance Features of the New Toyota Tundra Hybrid

  • Hybrid Powertrain: Relying on the exclusive i-FORCE MAX™ 3.5-liter Twin-Turbo V6 engine with an electric motor, the Toyota Tundra Hybrid is able to deliver 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of instantaneous torque. These performance ratings are a significant jump from the base powertrain. This new Toyota Hybrid truck uses a 288-volt Nickel-metal Hydride battery pack.
  • Most Fuel-Efficient Toyota Truck: No Toyota truck is more fuel-efficient than the Toyota Tundra Hybrid, which earns 24 highway miles per gallon towing along I-485 and 20 miles per gallon on Charlotte streets.
  • High Towing & Payload Ratings for This New Toyota Hybrid Truck: This hybrid truck has a lower payload rating of 1,665 pounds, but the Toyota Tundra Hybrid still allows Charlotte drivers to tow up to 12,000 pounds.

Exterior Design

Double Cab and CrewMax are the Toyota Tundra cab options for Charlotteans, who also have the choice of truck beds spanning between 66, 78, and 98 inches. No matter what is carried in the back end, the ultra-durable composite bed acts as a shield from dings, dents, and rust.

Ice Cap, Solar Octane, Lunar Rock, Blueprint, and Celestial Silver Metallic are a few of the Toyota Tundra's 11 paint options. LED trailer lights and premium LED headlights help Charlotte drivers illuminate what's in front of them and behind the trailer while hauling around the Carolinas and the Queen City. Tow mirrors provide a better visual, while a tailgate release bump switch provides easy truck bed access.

Interior Design

Headed to your worksite in Charlotte? The Toyota Tundra's versatile flip-and-fold rear seats have extra space underneath to store extra power tools and gear. The Toyota Tundra can come with a leather-trimmed interior, heated and ventilated seats, and a panoramic moonroof.

With a 12,000-pound maximum towing capacity, the Toyota Tundra can haul almost any trailer along I-485 through Charlotte. This new Toyota truck can also take on payloads weighing 1,940 pounds between Queen City jobsites. Two V6 i-FORCE powertrains are available. A 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine achieves 389 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque, while the i-FORCE MAX™ Hybrid powertrain pumps out 437 ponies and 583 pound-feet of torque. Additional performance features include next-gen Crawl Control, Multi-Terrain Select, and a pair of TOW/HAUL modes. Have more control, get more gears, and receive more torque with the Toyota Tundra's 10-speed automatic transmission.

Several cameras can be synced with the 14-inch Toyota audio multimedia touchscreen that serves as a personal spotter for Charlotteans, whether they are towing or are on North Carolina trains. A Multi-Terrain Monitor is available for explorations. A 12.3-inch full-color Multi-Information Display projects towing functions, off-road features, safety features, audio controls, and navigation. Wireless phone charging and wireless Apple CarPlay®/Android Auto™ compatibility are tech perks of this new Toyota truck, which offers a 12-speaker, 1200-watt JBL® Premium Audio system with QuantumLogic® Surround technology.
